I use a lot of CA for finish on turned projects (pens, bowls, spindles etc) and have found that three sets of three coatts (9 coats total) comes up with a fantastic deep shine that is very durable - sand lightly in between coats 3-4 and 6-7 (end of set 1 and 2) and use a plastic polish after 9th coat.

I recently repaired 6 dining room chairs and used Starbond and fine sanding dust to fill stripped out screw holes.
