SteelSeries Arctis 5 RGB Illuminated Gaming Wired Headset with DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround for PC, PlayStation 4, VR, Android and iOS - Black

    • USB *Non-BRAIDED* cable, that is plugged into this strange chatmix dial, that has another
    • Only negative, wish had an easier way to mute and the dial for game and chat is a little annoying.
    • The cable has this giant bulky dial in the middle of its cord
    • The length of the cable is fairly long, and you'll often find this strange dial falling to the floor, or the long cord getting caught on something in the way
    • This is probably the worst part of the headset, and any headset design, I have seen so far, as the dial is very sensitive, and will adjust/mute your volume often
    • ChatMix dial kills it though
    • I read through numerous threads of other customers (outside of Amazon) talking about how horrible this dial is
    • The Game/Chat dial is an excellent feature on this product, although the dial has lost the indication (after 2 weeks) at the half-way point that indicates that you have selected equal contribution of game/chat volume.
    • The dial is so bulky that every time it is tugged, it ruins the ports just a little bit
    • The ChatMix dial is the single most glaring design flaw on these headphones, as you can accidentally move the dial and lose volume without wanting to, the white LED light signifying power is too bright, and the entire apparatus is heavy and obtrusive.
    • So two, detachable cables, that are extremely annoying to work with and ends up leaving you with an annoying amount of dangling wires on your lap, causing you to constantly accidentally bump the chatmix dial and wrap around things
    • I'm sure the chat knob has some benefit for gamers, but the dial is too sensitive and often needs to be rest(almost
    • (bear in mind that I have little experience with headphones before this set--i've been using earbuds mostly)PROS:-fantastic headset, very comfortable-the mute button and chatmix dial are both extremely useful-the chatmix dial actually solves a very specific problem i've had: it registers the same audio device as TWO devices (a "chat" output and a "game" output) so that you can direct normal audio to one and your discord/skype/teamspeak audio to the other
    • The only strife that i have with it that I didn't expect was the dial for volume and how the headset connects to the dial
    • I love the dial that lets you kind of alternate between "chat" and "in-game" volume, but I can live without it if I can actually get a headset with decent enough audio
    • R ear comes back after wiggling with the attached wire, Defective Chatmix Dial
    • If you stand up or turn around, the dial will be pulled off of your desk and fall off
    • Wish they designed this better by putting it on the side of the headset or giving us the option to bypass or disable the dial itself considering I don't really use it
    • I wish the product reviews talked about this awful dial or the description had any warnings
    • I like the dial that allows you to balance game and voice volume
    • I love this headset, it's a so comfortable and even with my glasses
    • That said, it should be noted that if you have a larger or wider head, these might not fit as well as you are used to in comparison to other headsets
    • Both of my previous headsets had absolutely stellar simulated surround sound with the Dolby codec and above average mic quality, as well as both being within the same price range as the Arctis 5 at the time I bought them (around $80-90), which became what I have been used to when purchasing headsets
    • I have always been a bit skeptical as to their sound quality
    • Also it seems like these aren't able to be turned up as loud as I would like for some games where hearing footsteps is important
    • And a bonus - this headset plugged directly into a cellphone, so my significant other could listen to his fantasy football Podcast using this headset as loud as he wanted, and I didn't have to hear a thing
    • I've ever worn in a headset, comfy as
    • I use it on a daily basis for my job as well as for gaming, and everyone comments on how loud and clear they can hear me
