Just need this to boost the audio when adding music to my DVD Burner

It generally isn't going to amplify to insane levels but will boost the audio enough to solve most low volume type situations as long as it is used as a preamp and not an amp.

Definitely helps boost audio from headphone output of hdtv to headphones or your sound bar.
