    • This unit works and is for pilots who are trying to find a good deal on an ADS-B unit with AHRS, or can't afford the more elegant solutions like the Stratus 2s
    • CrewDog - Excellent unit, sensitivity was a bit low, a lot of local strong emitters were swamping the SDR front ends, I added 1ea SMA 980 / 1090 MHZ bandpass filters (search for 'FlightAware 1090MHz Bandpass Filter' on Amazon), one to each antenna and dropped SDR

    • Shipped right on time and delivered with easy-to-follow directions to get started although the unit was ready to go right out of the box.

    • Compared to Stratus, the unit is bulkier, battery life is shorter, and has antennae sticking out like a bug, but costs much less to get the same traffic and weather info.

    • The bottom line is that for the cheaper price you have to put up with a bulkier unit, a separate battery pack requiring a connecting mini-USB cord and the whole thing is an inelegant mess in the cockpit - but it works great.
