Super Smash Bros. - Nintendo Wii U

    • You can play through the classic mode to get all of the character trophies, play the event matches, all star mode, the whole sha-bang is here.
    • Its a real blast with friends and awesome smash modes
    • The online mode works well enough, but you just can't beat local multiplayer in a game like SSB
    • The online mode works well enough, but you just can't beat local multiplayer in a game like SSB
    • I HATE the new Classic Mode
    • There's also the expected single-player "Classic" mode, where you compete in various matches ending with a battle against the Master Hand and new addition of Crazy Hand
    • Because of this, I feel the best mode to play SSB4 in is in Team mode, because your teammate(s) can follow up your attacks for combos.--Content 9.3/10I will say this iteration of smash is loaded with content, lots of music and trophies to unlock, ability to create custom mii fighters, as well as unlock custom moves to alter the standard fighting characters.
    • Classic mode is clunky and awkward: why can’t I just go through a lineup of matches like in past versions
    • Play for fun includes smash and team smash, while play for glory has both of those but also adds a 1 v 1 mode as well
    • The events are fun, I like doing classic mode and stadium, and the online is good
    • A better online mode (at least stability/lag wise) for what I could try so far (patch for day one needs to be applied for online to work). And best of all
    • Love the 8-player local multiplayer mode for parties
    • Also the classic mode has been tweaked and now includes a coin system in which you can increase the difficulty and reap in more rewards
    • Missing some of the characters from brawl and doesn't have the cool story mode either.
    • (Some characters are just not very goodSmash Tour is terribleMost of the One-player modes are not fund, even classic mode and event matches are less fun than in melee or BrawlYou need to buy the adapter and gamecube controller to play properly
    • I found the more arcade like classic modes of previous versions to be superior to this versions
    • My only problem with the game is that the Classic mode is really boring and I hated the change to Target Mode making it like Home-Run Bat mode / Angry Birds crossover instead of the classic find and hit the targets with your character
    • Granted, the Adventure mode is still missing and will be missed, but the traditional Smash Bros. modes, Event Matches, Stadium Events, Classic Mode, All-Star, etc, are here, accounted for, and are as great as ever
    • The Online mode is a lot better than I thought, I enjoy the mode For Glory on 1vs1, and 2vs2 (playing with my little nephew) who also happens to love and enjoy the game as much as I do, If you are a fan of the Smash franchise give it a
    • A better online mode (at least stability/lag wise) for what I could try so far (patch for day one needs to be applied for online to work). And best of all
    • This mode is a godsend
    • There's the classic mode which has you going through a series of stages and challenges until you face off with Master Hand, Crazy Hand (or both).
    • However, if you're playing solo, you'll sometimes be forced to fight 7 cpu fighters in Classic Mode
    • but instead they included extraneous modes like smash tour, crazy orders, master orders, amiibos, customize your fighter, etc. etc
    • The classic mode is fun and you can do it co-op or single-player, the tournament mode is interesting and the mode with crazy hand can be quite enthralling
    • Rather than repeat a long story mode like Brawl's "Subspace Emissary," SSB4 introduces 1-4 player "Smash Tour," a mode that essentially combines the board game shenanigans of, say, a Mario Party game, with the core Smash Bros. gameplay where matches give you various rewards and prizes
    • There are a total of 51 characters in the game, along with a returning character coming in Spring of 2015 which bumps up the amount of characters to an astounding 52.The modes aren't to shabby either
    • Nintendo has outdone every previous Smash bros with colorful and exciting new ways to fight, endless to-do lists, different modes to include everyone, and more characters to kick butt with.
    • I miss the story mode though
    • To put it simply, this is a glorified version of the Wii version Brawl but with a terrible single player mode, unbalanced characters, OP items, 1 kill weapons that spawn like crazy, somewhat broken blocking, and busted mechanics that make this a pure button masher
    • The modes are fun, the character selection is great, and it's easy to pick up and play
    • Expect to be walking off the edge alot in this cool new mode
    • My only problem with the game is that the Classic mode is really boring and I hated the change to Target Mode making it like Home-Run Bat mode / Angry Birds crossover instead of the classic find and hit the targets with your character
    • So many new Maps, Characters, Assist Trophies, Pokemon, and awesome game modes
    • I loved the 8-player-mode and the GameCube Controller idea
    • Roster+ HUGE Soundtrack+ CRAZY amount modes, challenges and collectibles that keep you coming back for years on top of online play+ SSB in FULL HD,
    • Smash Tour may divide some, but with some patience, it can be an enjoyable mode for those who thrive in unpredictability
    • That and 2v2 are my favorite online modes
    • Some previous smash brothers had entertaining adventure modes, and it seems all of them had more actual unlockables.
    • However the game lacks a story line mode which degrades the game
    • Classic mode is clunky and awkward: why can’t I just go through a lineup of matches like in past versions
    • I HATE the new Classic Mode
    • It made clearing classic mode past 8.0 difficulty pretty much impossible
    • Master Orders & Crazy Orders, those modes are really fun testing your overall skill at the game
    • Who cares about the few extra characters they added, unless you get to unlock them in a cool story mode they are worthless.
    • Awesome game with beautiful graphics and a great game mode.
    • In some challenges outside of Classic Mode, when you run out of lives, the match continues with the remaining cpu fighters, meaning you just sit back and wait for the match to end
    • Smash Bros. At the very end of classic mode, you need to fight master core and its last form is him turning into a maze
    • The kind of DLC we should be getting is DLC that enhances the single player experience such as a new game mode, additional event match stages, a second challenge panel
    • The difficulty is also a lot more challenging, especially with Classic Mode
    • The only downside is that it lacks a traditional story mode that it had in
    • Online mode doesn't directly interest me, and 4 player free for all matches are very laggy as they were on the Wii version.
    • Would've also wished they kept break the targets, race to the finish, board the platforms in Classic mode, which feels dumbed down
    • The WiiU version of SSB4 however does add modes to help change things up and help the players collect items faster (Master Hand and Crazy Hand modes), but many of these (single player mode and Master Hand) battles feel more like a random free-for-all mashups rather than a practice of skill (since CPU's will have different launch rates, and battle conditions will be random like having Fast game speed, Reflect, Bunny Hood, Giant, etc).
    • The online mode in this game, while still not perfect, is much improved over Brawl.
    • There are many solo modes, including a remixed Classic mode that I preferred over the old one
    • Haven't really gotten to all of the game features yet, but Online mode works, main mode works, options are good, graphics, sound, controller responsiveness is good, Classic mode is my favorite 1P mode so far, and the 'Event Match' stuff is actually... pretty hard
    • You can play this mode with the AI, but like so many other aspects of Smash Bros., it's not really all that fun this way
    • The online mode in this game, while still not perfect, is much improved over Brawl.
    • the classic mode was a great thing to add, and all the characters are awesome.
    • So, yeah, it has a wealth of 1-player options available as it is, but the fact remains that Super Smash Bros. is ultimately a multi-player game and the 1-player stuff is just to be inclusive; if I could just find someone to play Smash Tour or 2-player classic mode etc
    • This game includes the following modes: Smash(4 player), Special Smash, 8 Player Smash(2-8 players), Smash Tour(smash bros and mario party combined), Stadium Events(bomb blast/multiman/Home run contest), classic mode, Event Matchs(1-2 player), custom stage builder(free drawn), Trophy Rush and more.
    • Love the 8 player mode.
    • Smash tour mode is a good example of this
    • My favorite mode is the return of the events
    • There are creative modes to make your own fight scene, battle royal modes where you can have all the siblings in the house settle their arguments or you can even have your dream match with "Punch-out's Little Mac"Some people may think this is too violent but in reality, there is no blood of any type
