Make sure you use this in conjunction with a cleaning rod to keep the inside of your outer slide clean

I would recommend Yamaha slide oil or Slide O Mix

You work the slide up and down a few times, and then use a spray of plain water as your lubricant

One application of the cream last over a week without the slide becoming sticky again.
