Stick to a proper NIOSH approved N95 mask for the best protection.

I work in a hospital and these are some of the better masks when it comes to comfort thickness and protection

Great quality, some thickness to it and doesn't pill/ get creased easily

A little small for rounder faces or more filled out faces, soft ear loops and great thickness, highly recommend

But honestly, I did not find a need to use any of those for a good fit

With regard to effectiveness, the KN95 may not be as good as the N95 masks, but they're almost certainly better than the bandanas, cloth masks, and surgical/procedure masks everyone wears, since they're actually meant to protect the wearer from infection.

However i bought the FDA approved N95 manufactured by BYD

Don't know what the lady is talking about air escaping, but the second I put it on and breath in the mask sucks into my face like making a solid seal

If you re-tie the straps such that they go around the head rather than around the ear, the seal is great but its extremely difficult to breathe compared to a niosh accredited n95.

This was only an issue because, combined with the often imperfect seal on the edges, air just goes in/out around the edges

These mask don't form a good seal around the nose they channels exhaled air directly into your eyes even after shaping the metal nose strip.
