It's very pretty on a desk - the clear lucite is unusual enough, and the shaping keeps it from looking like it jumped out off of Sigourney Weaver's 1980s desk in "Working Girl."That being said, it doesn't actually work really well as a tape dispenser if you want to use just one hand
