I tried after 3 days a second application of the clear coat and I would suggest not doing it...as its hard to see where the new product went on a clear headlight unlike when its cloudy.

When you are done with the last step before the clear-coat, the headlights are very smooth, but completely frosted

I expect long lasting results with the UV protective coat.

Also one coat with minimal overlap is enough.

Follow directions regarding application of uv resistant clear coat and don’t go over areas where it was already applied.

The supplied chemicals, rubbing compound, cleaning spray and final coat liquid is more than enough to do the job.

If you look closely, you will see streaks in the clear coat but that was due to my application and not the product

After the last sanding the headlight still looks hazy and you're not sure it's enough but as soon as you wipe the clear coat on it absolutely pops.

You need to be very careful applying the last coat though because any little dribbles/uneven coating will show after it cures, and you can't really make changes once it is wiped on.

After having done this once by the instructions, if I have to do it again I will use an airbrush to apply the urethane clear coat

It's best to sand each headlight, complete steps 1 and 2 for both and wait for the final step to clear coat both headlights together

If you are going to restore your headlight the magic is in the final step with the uv clear coat

I was spreading on the protective coating and a drop of sweat landed on it, messing it up.

(Consumer Reports tested) don't skimp on the clear coat use ALL of it on your 2 lights for longest lasting.

The UV coating is magical, bur has left streaks on my clear coat that I am unable to remove...not even wiping off right after, or with a clay bar, or a rigid scrub

I've used similar products in the past, and have repaired headlights with my own process, sanding to 2000 grit and clear coating with 4:1 coatings

Headlights will look a little foggy after sanding and compounding but the clear coat is the real party piece of this product

Finally the clear UV coat takes 4-6 hours to cure so you need a place where you can park without the lights getting moisture

I would recommend this product with a drill adapter for sanding as it is very labor intensive.

It restored the headlights to factory, or near factory condition and it did exactly that, my headlight lenses are as good as, perhaps even better than, new

Flash forward to a week ago and we saw a video comparing different headlight restoration kits both from the human eye perspective, as well as on a microscopic scale
