My favorite lense to shoot with

The Nikon lenses are way more expensive and probably not worth it for anyone not sending their pics to Natl

It doens't focus very quickly - and at times has trouble finding what you want - as many of these new, less expensive lenses do

When I decided to get a telephoto zoom for my Nikon D3100, I did extensive research into the available lenses.

Outstanding lense for an outstanding price

, I found I could not use this lense when opperating my DSLR in video mode as the noise of the auto focus motor fed over the audio track of the video, to be quite truthfull I feel that this lense is not worth the money people pay for it, as this was part of the camera package I purchased, I still feel short changed on what I got, if this is the quality of Tamron lenses, I will not be buying anymore any time soon, and I would advise anyone to put the extra cash towards what you want and get a decnt lense and certainly not Tamron

For the money, this is a pretty good lense

I used to sell these lens in the camera shop I worked at when I was 18 yrs old (yep I am getting on a bit) and then they were expensive lenses with good optics and I could never afford them, Sigma was the best I could

I'm not a pro, but like having different lenses for Nikon camera and didn't want to spend a fortune on the Nikon brand lens.
