The problem and reason for 3 stars is the base, the arm is a little clunky, you have to unscrew a knob to adjust height, the problem being that it's impossible to find a happy medium where it's easy to adjust, it's either immovable or collapses under your phones weight, there is basically no way to adjust it without completely pulling over and being completely focused on it, the knob that adjusts angle is the same way, these things on their own aren't earth shattering, but they both contribute to the biggest flaw

I love how the base “ locks” in place, so no falling, or moving of my phone while I’m driving

The base was very sticky and stuck easily to the top of my dashboard.

After about 8 months the base of it broke

I just keep mine in a plastic bag in between uses so the base doesn't attract dirt.

Then today the base broke away from the suction cup as I was driving down the road.

The base broke after a week.

The replacement only lasted 2 months; base broke away from the suction cup just like the last one

The base has a suction cup make but really works through a sticky element to hold the phone

The Taotronics TT-Sh08 has a very strong suction cup base with a convenient little release lever to make it easy to remove if you are going to move the holder to a different vehicle or you can use the mount as a welcome spare hand if you commute by train or other transit system and you will be sitting at a seat with a table and you wish to view your phone and dont want it moving around or falling to the floor

However, if you want to move the holder, it's a nightmare; the adhesive base is so strong, it is extremely difficult to detach from any surface

Very disappointed with this product as I was hoping it would be great based on product reviews that I read.

The base is frustrating to adjust and can't handle heavy phones (Samsung S7 Edge)

Perhaps, predictably, eventually the sticky base tears from the mounting plate, rendering it useless

I noticed it the mount's base was sagging a bit from the suction cup, and the suction lock lever started to get very loose.

On the 5th of March, 2018, it broke off the base

The sticky base can come off if it's not placed perfectly on a flat surface but if the surface is flat enough it sticks nicely

When I looked closer I noticed the hard plastic base snapped off and left little pieces of broken plastic inside of the suction part

The sticky base broke off the plastic bottom with in a week

The base broke when I was adjusting my phone

Today the base cracked where the sticky cup attaches.

The base broke off after 4 months of use with an IPhone 7 in my truck with normal street driving.

Bought in late February, driving down the road and the suction cup just breaks off the base sending my phone plummeting to the floor

Surpricingly the suction cup has sticky base which will stick to any dashboard or windshield

The only thing I think is what makes it 4 star rather than 5, is that the base is NOT a suction base, but a sticky base

Keeps falling off my dash while driving!And the heat during summer makes it stick to the dash and becomes kind of jelly like!Would not recommend as it puts permanent patch on the dash!

I use it in my car, as well as on my motorcycle

The holder is very sturdy and accommodates my iPhone with the charger as well as when I have it plugged into the AUX cord.

I love this product in the beginning, but after 6 months of using the button that locks the suction cup on the car dashboard does not hold as strong as before

It keeps on falling off the wind shield as well as from dashboard
