The other day I went to take it off and it broke right where the base attaches to the holder.

The only complaint I have is that on hot days they will get loose, and if you live in really hot area like south Texas the gel material eventually bleeds down the dash

I really liked this product, however on really hot days the suction cup would unstick

It holds the phone well, but it fall off my dashboard, smashing my phone into my center console about 10 times per week, especially on hot days...

It worked fine in the winter, but one 90-plus degree day and the gel ring on the suction cup melted and dripped down the windshield and onto the dash

I attached it to my dash and had no problems until I went one day to adjust the height and the bottom attachment fell off

Beside the vacuum mechanism it has a kind of glue that sticks to the windshield, one hot day it melted so i could take it down, and stood there for some months, until another hot day it melted leaving sticky residue in the windshield and streaming down from there

When left in the car on a warm direct sunlight day, the rigid plastic disk that attaches the suction cup to the lever arm plunger breaks making the holder useless.

I would recommend not leaving it suctioned to the dashboard all day during the summer, I have heard that the suction piece can melt from direct sun exposure

Once the outside temperature starts getting over 80 degrees, it started loosening one day and fell off the windshield on the next day

All 3 failed in some way; two of them on hot days (they fell off and left a nasty residue on the inside of my windshield that had to be taken off with goo gone), the suction cup broke off on the 3rd one.

The holder is very sturdy and accommodates my iPhone with the charger as well as when I have it plugged into the AUX cord.

I love this product in the beginning, but after 6 months of using the button that locks the suction cup on the car dashboard does not hold as strong as before
