This device has been a major game changer for me and had it only supported the recording of 8 discrete channels, like the competitors' products, that would not have been case

While you dont here the latency while recording, the play back sounds off time.

and I think the reasons are obvious, an Audio interface is supposed to.. well... RECORD AND SEND AUDIO FROM YOUR COMPUTER

The mic pres are really nice, quiet, and record well

As far as I am concerned this product is worthless ... because I cannot get a decent recording out of it.

It may seem like I'm asking for too much but this unit at the great price of $300 is obviously targeted to users with basement and garage "studios" who may likely be recording themselves

Use MME multi-client and have great playback and no recording

Use ASIO single-client and have great playback and great recording
