    • It's kind of fun to check different bottled waters to see if how pure the water is
    • it does it job it calculates how clean is the water
    • Under 50, and it remains green (good water)
    • Tested it on spring water, Britta filtered tap water and purified water
    • Used to test how good the water I was drinking was
    • Our area's water is very hard and leaves a lot of "scale" around our faucets and in our pipes
    • Based on the device I had, my hard water had less mineral than my soft water and neither reading was anywhere close to the real values
    • This one has colors lit on the background to give you an idea if the water is safe in addition to the readings.
    • Testing this water showed it was no worse than the nice clear water that comes out of the other faucets in the house
    • So self testing our water seem like a good idea
    • This product was very easy to use and wonderful to let me know the filter I purchased was successful to eliminating hard water.
    • Then I used a Megahome distiller on my well water and it read 0ppm
    • This with calibration solution insured we had good drinking water from a reverse osmosis unit
    • We use them in our pure water window cleaning almost daily.
    • Aquafina" is the best water, it had 1ppm, "Deer Park" had 94 ppm and it as RED
    • I then took my water for a new well test at the CDC in which I was given the result my water is considered satisfactory for all test analyzed at the HETL.
    • However, the water I did test both clean and supposedly dirty water check out
    • I have a cup of hot water and a cup of cold water and it reads both as 68 degrees fahrenheit
    • Tested water of family and discovered ppm was easy above normal and decided to install filters.
    • Tested my well water and RO water, even bottled water to compare results.
    • I recently purchased this because my RO water was tasting bad
    • I live in Hawaii and the water there is pretty good without filters.
    • I feel confident that the water we drink at home is safe and can easily know when to change my filter water cartridges, without making assumptions and calculating or tracking the times the cartridge is installed.
    • Well water was worst with distilled best.
    • Bad water gives you
    • It measured my known hard water at 230 ppm and distilled water at 2 ppm.
    • What a surprise when i found my well water had a real problem
    • It told me the rain water in a barrel outside is the best water to drink.
    • Time to buy a (not so cheap) water de-scaler device for the whole house.
    • Very little change...fortunately, the water is safe to drink and has few solids in it, but still, the water filter I am using
    • What a surprise when i found my well water had a real problem
    • At least I know and kind of have an idea of how good my water is being filtered.
    • I have tested this meter many times using distilled water of different brands as well s my colloidal silver
    • Well water was worst with distilled best.
    • Since softened water simply replaces the hardness with sodium, this isn't going to tell me if I have soft water.
    • I have the zero water system and this meter works every
    • Seriously - after a full 60 seconds of holding this thing in very hot water, the temperature reading had still not stabilized
    • I have a cup of hot water and a cup of cold water and it reads both as 68 degrees fahrenheit
    • If I put this in very hot water and look at the temp readings, they go
    • It would only read zero ppm no matter what water I tested--well water, tap water and RO water
    • This tester likely will outlive me but is of no value for testing soft water.
    • However, the water I did test both clean and supposedly dirty water check out
    • Also can test water temperature - good for aquariums.
    • So I still don't know exactly which minerals are present in my well water nor their concentration
    • Also bought a Brita water pitcher and the water tastes fine now
    • Great water tester works like it should and easy to operate and easy to understand manual
    • Most municipal water systems have a high mineral content and dissolved rock, which is what is termed "hard water"
    • The only criticism is that the red lit background over 40 ppm makes it a bit tougher to read than the green lit background under 40, and that's the level I'm usually testing for my filtered hard tap water.
    • I bought this product to test our well water while I was using cloth diapers
    • What I thought was soft water was not as soft as it should have been.
    • I use this to check and track my under sink ro water filter

    • Refrigerator filter I'm using is this one:Waterspecialist MWF Refrigerator Water Filter, Replacement for GE Smart Water MWF, MWFINT, MWFP, MWFA, GWF, HDX FMG-1
    • Got the meter and tested my water out of the tap and it was 48, which the chart shows as fairly soft water and equivalent to a carbon filtered system.
    • Based on the device I had, my hard water had less mineral than my soft water and neither reading was anywhere close to the real values
    • You'll be amazed at how clean OR NOT clean your water is!
    • I then purchased my own test strips from Amazon and they confirmed that my water was indeed soft
    • Very helpful to know how pure filtered water is
    • It confirmed for me why the water tastes so bad - because it is.
    • This meter cannot tell you if your water is hard or if it is just contaminated with something else
    • How can the reading on the meter say its better than the clear water?!!!How can I trust this device at all????
    • He tested my water with a legitimate tool and confirmed the water was indeed very soft
    • Lukewarm fridge water = 98
    • The graph I uploaded was made from taking measurements on the same glass of hot tap water as it cooled in the fridge; these readings resulted in a highly significant correlation of TDS reading with temperature.
    • I use it to test my reverse osmosis system, as well as the water in my portable vaporizers
    • I appreciate the little diagram on the back of the meter to remind what is safe drinking water and what is not
    • We drink well water and did not want to depend exclusively on the reports of others.
    • Tested water fresh from an RODI unit and the results were over 1k TDS
    • We have very hard well water in Santa Fe New Mexico.
    • Been buying "Deer Park" water forever and thought it was the best water, NOPE
    • I used this tester to measure my well water purity.
    • According to the graph on the back of the unit, which seems to come from WHO, where it states that a 47 PPM is “Ideal Drinking Water”, this device glows red as if the water is contaminated and not suited for human consumption
    • In a particular faucet we are having filthy brown water with large particles and gross stuff
    • This is a great little water tester
    • Very convenient to take on the road and test if water is safe to drink in hotels and restaurants.

    • Wife was getting sucked into the hype of a certain (expensive) water filter system which was supposed to create zero dissolved solids water from our tap.
    • We purchased an aquarium for saltwater fish as well as a RO/DI water filtration system it is important to make sure the water is as pure as we can make it prior to adding the salt for the fish
    • Good to know our well water is better than bottled water
    • According to the graph on the back of the unit, which seems to come from WHO, where it states that a 47 PPM is “Ideal Drinking Water”, this device glows red as if the water is contaminated and not suited for human consumption

    • I’m living in this home as it’s being worked on and as older homes love to do when being upgraded, things you can or can’t see or issues someone such as
    • Works as it should.
    • Kinda confused as how to read this even with the illustration on Amazon.
    • n’t attest to the longevity as it pertains to accuracy, but for the price for someone who needs all plumbing in their household replaced and is no longer in the budget friendly zone, definitely recommend this thing.
    • Our new expensive R/O unit filters need changing when the TDS is greater than 25.
