I use the stove with a cast iron pan to sear steaks also and it works great

I’m glad I decided to get this grill pan over some of the others, it fits my Iwatani butane stove perfectly fine, the none stick surface is very nice and it’s only one piece versus two piece which makes cleaning easier with a grease drain, following the instructions for cleaning and care should make the grill pan last a long time.

Turn on the portable gas stove, put steak on it and steak will be ready in 15 minutes!

There wasn’t a lot of smoke at all, but I did keep the stove vent on low which is all I needed

Only complaint i had was that when using the portable stove that i have, the drain hole is just about 1/4 of an inch or so short of reaching the bowl i put to catch the grease

We used that on top of a portable butane stove to have BBQ outside.

With a proper propane stove (I use an Iwatani ZA-3HP) this cooks beautifully.
