I purchased a brand new laptop that only receives Wi-Fi 2.4 because it doesn't have an Ethernet port therefore it only pick up speeds up to 50 mbps as oppose to the over 200

I mainly use it to hardwire my laptop (Windows 10) to my network and take advantage of the faster speeds.

USB 3.0 speeds are very fast when transferring data and this does not disappoint

I can get gigabit speed (well, 95% of a gig) from other computers on the same network using the same cable,

No luck using the ethernet for gigabit speed even after all the drivers and all the directions did nothing for bypassing 10/100 speeds and actually slowed down the download and upload speeds

Don't know what the top speed is, but since I only need it for occasional printing that's not an issue for me
