    Terk Indoor AM Antenna ADVANTAGE

    • Having to use the tuning dial on the antenna when changing stations doesn't bother me
    • Tip: If your radio happens to have an antenna gain control (like my Sony ICF SW7600), an effective tuning method is to turn down the gain until you barely hear the tuned station, and then adjust the TERK frequency dial for the loudest signal
    • Stations that come in with lots of static can often be made to sound clear, or at least listenable to, through the magic of placing the antenna close to the radio and then fine-tuning the antenna to match the particular station
    • I attached the Terk Indoor antenna, fine tuned the reception dial and I was blown away.
    • Next, place the Terk next to the radio and fine-tune the dial on the Terk to get the best reception
    • Improves dramatically the reception ,reduces the effect of indor noisy devices (fluore lamps ),and helps you with the accurate tuning knob
    • This antenna needs to be tuned for best reception as described by other reviewers (actually very easy to do).
    • Additionally, this antenna's built-in selective tuning may be slightly-varied on stronger stations - changing inductance and tricking the tuner's audio bandpass filter into yielding increased bandwidth - and thus audio quality
    • Easy to use and helps fine tune the reception
    • nice wireless tune option - helps with tuning in those hard to reach signals.
    • The only downside of the TERK is you have to fine tune each station if you change the station on the stereo but that is a small inconvience for the ability to get "Tuned" stations.
    • PS - in my experience in the UK, the GE Superadio completely outstrips the Sangean radio for station reception - it doesn't have the sleek looks or the digital tuning, but if it's reception you want, get a GE radio.
    • It takes a little time to learn to fine tune the Antenna to the frequency you are trying to listen to
    • with the dial, tuning the station on the radio off-peak to the point that you can just barely hear it, then fine-tuning the antenna by ear, then fine-tuning the radio
    • The tuning dial adjustment does work well, but only when antenna is attached
    • You can use it's adjustable tuning knob to dial in the correct settings as your listening to the station
    • Again, the Sony's internal AM antenna is better than the Terk but there was slight improvement in reception, but not enough to justify the hassle the constant tuning of the Terk while trying to operate the 7600.
    • The fine tuning feature on the TERK made all the difference.
    • Unit has a tuner at the bottom center that allows you to fine tune the channel in
    • I did not need to connect any wiring physically, just placed on the left side of my Bose radio about an inch away, then fine tuned the single knob on the antenna and simply stopped right at the spot where the static noises disappeared.
    • It was easy to set up and the fine tuning dial on the antenna makes a world of difference.
    • When you get this, have patience when you first tune it.
    • The fine tuning really adds to the clarity of the stations
