    Texas Instruments TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator

    • My favorite feature is that it is able to input fractions right there on its screen
    • The MultiView is a cool feature your problems look exactly as it does in the study manual
    • They're all great calculators though (that have more features, like numeric integration, instant differentials, matricies and imaginary - I argue against those features in scientific calculators, because they're so poorly implemented in comparison to how they're implemented on true CAS calculators like HP50g or tiVoyage).
    • The ability to follow the steps in the problem on the screen is a very nice feature.
    • This is a really great feature for those who do a lot of calculations and need to look back through their calculations
    • This feature is very powerful and quite useful
    • So this feature is quite nice since I get to see the last equation I typed.
    • In case you haven't noticed, the Casio FX-115ES scientific non-graphing calculator is clearly superior and performs many functions that are omitted on the TI-30XS.Pros: Affordable scientific calculator, dual-power supply (Solar and battery), TI interface (intuitive for existing TI users), nice displayCons: Funky hard-cover (doesn't slide in place like all other TI calculators), lack of a large number of important features
    • This simple feature would make the calc so much easier to navigate
    • Convenient features including seven variables for storing values at intermediate calculation steps, data feature for statistics, solar power (no need to worry about batteries), and four lines of entries to view.
    • Being able to scroll back to pretty much anything you typed in is such a beautiful feature, I feel handicapped with calculators without it.
    • The statistics features are also fantastic featuring the mean, standard deviation,5 number summary and more.
    • Apparently there are reset features (not well-indicated in the instructions) however this has not worked

    • Excellent screen for displaying formulas, and a great feature for performing statistical calculations (such as computing variance and standard deviation).

    • It also simplifies fractions for you (not that you'd really need that, but it's good that the feature is available.)If you are taking the actuarial exams, the BA II Plus and the TI-30X are the perfect combination

    • Yes, there are scientific calculators out there that have more features (derivatives, integrals, etc.), but to me those are watered down graphing calculators with functions that most people would not expect a scientific calculator to include

    • The rugged high impact credit card holder was not what I had expected; the case makes it difficult to use and ,,,,, it's kind of mis leading as to how you would use it; not what I was expecting.
