Computes all the necessary complex calculations I need
-
I use this calculator every day at work for multiple applications such as motion in structural members, beam stiffness calculations, and member deformation calculations
-
My ONLY complaint is there if you have written out a long formula, the calculator is very slow to back trace through it whereas much lower powered calculators' left and right buttons zoom through any complex calculation
-
This is an outstanding scientific calculator, and an excellent choice for those who are not allowed to use a programmable calculator, or for those who have a need for a quick, but complicated calculation, without messing with a computer-based spreadsheet
-
It even does complex number calculations that i needed a TI 89 to do - totally excellent calculator for my work as an eletrical engineer
-
Seriously, if you are taking engineering classes that require a lot of long stream of number calculations without using graphing calc, you should invest in this calculator
-
Pros: Improper fraction conversion to proper fraction, Decimal to Fraction conversion, creating a short calculations with X,Y,Z,T,a,b,c,d variables that you are prompted to fill in
-
Ordered the calculator for a course that required matrix operations and complex number calculations - Works very well!I am glad I did not purchase a new graphing calculator, because the TI-36X Pro has all the functions I need
-
I much prefer the TI-36X Pro Scientific Calculator primarily because of the options for manipulating fractions, exponential numbers and repetitive calculations
-
Works fine and allows for the entering of complex calculations for the fundamentals of engineering exam
-
And really, in my opinion, any calculation that takes more than about 20 keystrokes (except maybe one-var and two-var data analysis) is unwieldy for a calculator, anyway
-
The four line display alone makes it highly usable, and the calculations are very fast
-
SPECIFICALLY for its complex number calculations
-
Plus the scrolling function makes it so useful for lengthy multistep engineering calculations

Works as you'd expect of a more complex, but sub-graphing calculator
