Texas Instruments TI-36X Pro Engineering/Scientific Calculator

    • Not even the more expensive graphing calculators like the 83 or 84 can do this...not sure why
    • First one I grab, and I have two of their nice graphing calculators
    • I have big fancy graphing calculators and small simple ones and this is my go to for all my engineering homework.
    • It can't make graphs like a TI-89 or anything like
    • If you don't need a graphing calc (like beyond Calculus 3 or Physics 2), for similar money and everyday use, I much prefer Casio fx-xxx series models,
    • Probably the best non-graphing calculator out there.
    • Actually, I would have rather known about this calculator for my undergrad years instead of the clunky graphing types
    • If you need to see what a graph looks like, there are a hundred apps for that
    • very powerful non graphing calculator.
    • Great non-graphing calculator.
    • Not as good as my graphing calculator but a great backup for my office.
    • Transitioning from the TI-89 (personal favorite graphing calculator) to the TI-36X Pro was like riding a different bike
    • Best non-graphing calculator out there
    • I have a nice graphing calculator
    • The only direct competitor to this is the Casio fx-115ES Plus (a.k.a. the fx-991), but the TI is about 3x faster and has a more unified interface (the Casio has separate modes for standard calculations, matrices, and complex numbers).I really wish it would allow the use of complex numbers in matrices, derivatives, and integrals... but none of the currently available non-graphing calculators do
    • They don't need some fancy graphing calculator, this one will get the through any class.
    • Amazing calculator for the money and the best non-graphing calculator you can use for some academic & professional tests.
    • Great calculator when the graphing one isn't available.
    • Probably the best non-graphing calculator.
    • Best non graphing calculator I've ever had
    • This is The Best non-graphing calculator
    • It is better to get this calculator shortly after you finish your core mathematics classes so you can adjust from a more advanced graphing calculator like the TI-89 Titanium
    • Probably the best non-graphing calculator for its price.
    • Best non graphing calculator on the market for engineers in my opinion.
    • Just like a graphing but with out the graphing
    • As far as the best non-graphing calculator, this model is just what you need
    • I bought it because it was one of the best non graphing and non programming calculators
    • Works well as a non-graphing
    • my expensive graphing calculators
    • For $20 it has much of the capability of the much more expensive graphing calculators
    • If I'm not actually graphing a complex function, I prefer this to an expensive graphing calculator BY FAR.
    • Not even the more expensive graphing calculators like the 83 or 84 can do this...not sure why
    • It's definitely not as user friendly as graphing
    • best TI calculator I have ever had (non-graphing)
    • If I don't need to take limits, anti-derivatives, or indefinite integrals, or plot actual graphs,
    • Best non graphing calculator for the money
    • I am however more comfortable with my graphing calculator and how the buttons work (from same manufacture)
    • Best non-graphing calculator you can buy
    • Even better than graphing calculators such as TI 89 as I had before this
    • and I really wish I had bought this before all those unnecessary graphing calculators that weren't even allowed during exams.
    • not a lot we don't - we don't need the pricey graphing calculators.
    • I have owned many different scientific calculators, and this one is by far my favorite non-graphing one
    • Best non-graphing calculator, if you ask me.
    • Good non-graphing calculator
    • Far better than any overpriced graphing calculator
    • Best non graphing calculator there is
    • Simply put it, it is just an awesome non-graphing calculator
    • Best non-graphing calculator I have used.
    • Works as you'd expect of a more complex, but sub-graphing calculator
