The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Lionheart Edition - PlayStation Vita

    • The good:Great although anime stereotypical character designs and personalities: The main love interest is a tsudere who goes by the name of Alisa, the middle aged drunkard teacher who likes to fraternise with her students, the Nagato Yuki-like silver haired mysterious Fie, and so on
    • The city designs also really display the "character" of the town (noble and dignified, mercantile and commercial, etc.).
    • When I bought this edition from GameStop when it WAS $49.99, it was a bargain comparing to the price now on Amazon LOL.A lot of replay value as you can only get to know a few character's deeper plots through bonding event points
    • If you have any familiarity with PS2 era JRPGs you will right at home; turn based combat, a cast of colorful characters, lots of locations, dungeons etc
    • It follows the same basic combat in Trails in the Sky where each character takes their own turn to attack, gains CP when dealing/taking damage to use for Crafts and S-Crafts, elemental weaknesses, and bonuses during battle like Critical, HP Heal, and EP Heal
    • though you can’t really change being lead character Rean
    • Usually in these rpgs there is the token useless/annoying character, but the authors did a nice job creating a set of complex characters that are enjoyable for the story AND are also useful in the combats of the game.
    • only other complaint as of my current progress in the game is that I feel some of main cast are not as interesting as they could be; The noble-hating Mechias especially feels like they simply wanted a character that would be a jerk for just the sake of being a jerk
    • Overall, the plot is solid and the characters are all quite likable.
    • good story wonderful characters by the end felt like i connected with almost all of
    • Absolutely love the characters and the story isn't too shabby for being part one
    • Great story, colorful characters, and incredible gameplay
    • While the story does end abruptly, it will leave you wanting more!Great characters, writing, gameplay, and an AMAZING soundtrack, Trails of Cold Steel is a superb RPG that will keep you immersed and hooked from beginning to end.
    • While not the fastest-paced game, Cold Steel paces itself very well, having enough downtime between major events and battles for the player to not feel burnt out, as well as sprinkling story events and characters evenly across the board, instead of bunching up a lot of stuff all at once, then nothing for hours on end
    • , ToCS is stunningly rendered, with beautiful scenery and anime-styled characters that aren't grossly out of proportion, but still distinctly within the style's medium
    • The battle system is great and the characters look great.
    • The supposed "cliff-hanger" ending everyone seems to gush about was not that exciting.- Cheesey stereotypical characters
    • The characters are simply fun...from protagonists all the way to the minor npcs.10.
    • Because Falcom knows how to populate a world with likable characters, and how to craft even the cliched ones with enough humanity and dimension to keep them from being obnoxious
    • Interesting characters, ALOT of reading
    • Well they both have high school students as the main characters, there are social links you can develop when you spend time with people outside of main quests, there is a quick movement option via the [ ] button, the old schoolhouse in Trails of Cold
    • Great music, great combat mechanics and mini games, likable characters, excellent story, 10/10 game.
    • This is my first game in the Trails series and you bet after experiencing the awesome characters, rich lore and history, I'm going to go back and play through Trials in the Sky
    • The characters are extremely enticing
    • I hope you guys do Sen no Kiseki 2 as well C:
    • I like a game to be more open but not so open that you can feel lost as to what to do
