    • They released a new patch (1.6) A few days before the World Adventures release and it completly wrecked my gameplay as well as 95% of the communitys(?)
    • Those who approach it with an open minded curiosity and the understanding that we have to wait for hacks, mods and custom content, not to mention the inevitable patches and expansion packs (after all, what serious Simmer could have real fun playing the Sims 2 BASE game with nothing added??
    • Overall - 3/5 - There needs to be a free patch, fixing all the bugs, adding new objects
    • The patching on this game has been awful all along, and if you check the message boards, EA is clearly ignoring some of the problems with the game, while correcting others

    • I would recommend waiting for the first inevitable patch to come out.
    • And each patch only makes things worse.
    • BUT, EA's patch 1.18 ruins the game unless you own the expansions
    • I tried uninstalling both the base game and World Adventures and putting the last patch to remotely work (1.3) in place for my game and started up the game again with no CC/Mods- which resulted in my not being able to save at all or to use CAS to make Sims, or to access premade Sims on their lots in order to play them
    • said that, on to the review of the game:A patch was recently made available on the Sims 3 website which fixes the slow Ultra and Fast buttons that people had been complaining about - those aren't a problem anymore

    • I've tried hard--played it without Mods, played it with mods, believed EA when they promised me that the first patch would fix the problems that mattered most
    • The graphics are not as crisp as in Sims 2.
    • My wife loves this game, but she doesn't feel it's much better than the sims2 because there are some things missing such as not being able to create a restaurant

    • But I tried the Sims3 on my outdated Computer and the game booted up slow but wants I was in the game it seem to run OK good enough to play, and the bulding part of the game was not really that bad and the graphic detail were OK but not as good as in the

    • I get that this is to make it friendly to the casual crowd, but the UI is not as good as in 2.-As cool as the always-running neighborhood is, it does open the possibility of something undesirable happening to one of your families while you are playing another
    • The last con is that sometimes the sims will not follow the action as fast as you would like them to like sometimes when you make your sim take a shower, he might stand there for about 30 game seconds before showering
