    The Stranger

    • The album starts out with the heavily sardonic "Movin' Out," in which Joel decries the state of modern work, asking if the fame and money are really worth the sacrifices we have to make ("if that's movin' up, then I'm movin' out")
    • The difference is that this song is highlighted by some great piano work and a terrific chorus featuring Gwen Guthrie and Patti Austin as well as more Ralph McDonald percussion
    • It is truly some of his best work
    • This song is also highlighted by some terrific guitar work."Just the Way You
    • This is far by his best work knahmsayin
    • Not that his other works were not excellent, like "Piano Man," or "52nd Street," but "The Stranger" is superior
    • What I never REALLY noticed on that song before is Liberty DeVitto's terrific work on the brushes, but this mix gives you a great chance to hear every swipe of the drumskin.
    • This song is highlighted by some great acoustic guitar work.
    • The Stranger is Billy Joel breakout album and considered by most music historians to be his finest work
    • The album gets off to a strong start with "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)," a terrific mid-tempo power pop song featuring solid rhythm guitar work and saxophone playing.
