I went through the process of cleaning and then installing this conductive material to my heat sink.
-
Under heavy gaming conditions i see about 3-4 Celsius cooler temps on my cpu (air cooled with spire 2 eclipse heat sink)
-
I also cleaned out the fan and all of the cooling fins on the heat sink
-
Since replacing the fan would also mean replacing the entire heat sink assembly, I ordered this stuff to use when repasting the heatsink.
-
Put this on my MacBook Pro 2012's CPU/heat-sink assembly, and this did absolutely nothing
-
Temps seem to be acceptable and now I notice while the bottom gets warm during hours of game play, it's no where near as hot as it has been.
-
I attached a size comparison pic with this review and overall, yes, you should go buy this, but get it as cheap as you can
-
It seems to be working better, and doesn’t stall nearly as often
