I'm not sure if the notebook I received was a defect or if they're all constructed like this, but the binding looks really odd on mine

I also love that even though the outside binding and cover are very sturdy it lays flat on the table with no problem

After looking around at some of the more pricey (and more popular) journals, I decided I wanted something a) more affordable b) with thicker paper and c) still a lot of pages, and this one seemed to fit most closely to that
