Thomastik Infeld Red 4/4 Violin String Set - Medium Gauge with Removable Ball End Gold-plated Steel E

    • The beautiful tone produced by these strings on my instrument (deep and rich in the lower registers and pleasantly bright in the upper) makes my violin sing.
    • (I was lured by the prospect of more "warmth" for my brittle-toned instrument, at a less-than-premium price.)That first set of Infelds has been on my fiddle (... I play Celtic) for over a year!
    • I love the rich tone.
    • The response is a little slower than Obligatos, and the tone isn't as complex, but they're generally less expensive, and they're designed to mix and match with the Infeld Blues (which I've not tried). This isn't to say they're bad strings, and strings will sound different on different violins, but I've yet to find a violin these sound good on.
    • I love the rich warm tones of the Infeld Red strings
    • The gold plated e is there to give it a nice round ringing tone, however it causes the price to be higher than the Blue set.
    • I've tried these now on 6 different violins, and I have to say I don't like their tone on any of them.
    • i love them and highly recommend them for anyone who likes a really deep mellow tone.
    • It seems my violin has "toned" down a bit and playing is more enjoyable!
    • The sound is clear and projects very well, and it has a very reach and warm tone
    • The e-string sounds really good, and well that's difficult with some strings, but this ones are awsome
    • He had tried the Infeld blue, didn't care for them, but the RED has the gold E string that sounds so beautiful
