The sound they make are wonderful and you can get a clean tone from them but their weakest point are the ball ends

They sounded very nice on my early 19th century Hopf, which has a naturally dark tone

This fiddle has a brighter tone than my Hopf and is less dynamic sounding

I still use an Eva Pirazzi gold E string, which I adore, but the rest are now vision strings and I love playing on them.
