Really, the tone and the loudness both seem pretty middle-of-the-road, in other words a good balance.

The E string is okay, but a little metallic on my fiddle; the E has plenty of punch when you want it, but it is not as sweet as the rest of this set, and not as sweet as other E strings out there, and I may trade it out sometime soon for one of the many cheap Goldbrokat E strings in my fiddle case
