  • Tobii also provides for other functions, like controllering your gun and fangs for hire by simply looking with your eyes at where you want them to go and they will follow suit
  • Until the Tobii is more accurate and precise there's no point in getting it.
  • I highly recommend the Tobii, it's eliminated the neck strain I'd experience after a 10 hour session wearing the TrackIR, improved my accuracy with fixed weapons, and allowed me to call up targets with just a glance
  • I hope Tobii continues to work with various gaming vendors as this really enhances play

Reviews around tech (5.00 of 5)

  • I think the tech is cool and once they figure out how to use it better I’ll start using it again
  • So after 3 OS clean installs and 2 techs turns out all that was needed was to temporarily disconnect the second monitor in order to get the v2.6.1 software from crashing, although the configuration clearly ask you to pick a default display there's obviously a bug that needs to be fixed
  • It's awesome tech, and for many will be a nice addition to their gaming rig, if that's your use case.

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • For the few games it is compatible with it does not do a great job, though I can see the potential of this technology in a future generation of the device
  • The 4C and software now supports head tracking, and it does a pretty good job of that as well.

Reviews around technology (3.95 of 5)

  • With amazing technology in its simple little sensor bar which you mount below your screen
  • To sum up great technology with SO much more potential yet it seems to be like a half baked software implementation with full hardware
  • So I will say first off that the technology is pretty amazing and quite accurate
  • Still an imperfect technology, but does add a bit of an edge to gaming and normal computer use.

Reviews around addition (3.86 of 5)

  • Over all I find it a great addition to Elite with a 34" ultra-wide screen but don't plan on using it with any first person shooters or anything that requires high precision aiming
  • This thing is completely useless unless you have some sort of disability that prohibits use of normal mouse inputs, if you are disabled in such a way you're probably used to being frustrated by things not working as you would like and in that case this might be for you.
  • When you do have everything set up and working as it should, it is a nice product
  • Overall an awesome addition to my gaming setup and would highly recommend it.

Reviews around thing (3.61 of 5)

  • I love this thing, at first it took some time to get used too but playing games just got more easier and more convenient
  • The fortunate thing is that the errors tend to be consistent, so once I'm used to the errors in that session, I can do things like look just below where I want to click and it usually works
  • The install is one of the easiest things you can do, and it takes no time at all
  • This thing is completely useless unless you have some sort of disability that prohibits use of normal mouse inputs, if you are disabled in such a way you're probably used to being frustrated by things not working as you would like and in that case this might be for you.

  • Awesome peripheral, highly recommended!
  • The Tobii Eye Tracker 4C is a very nice input peripheral that I would like to see more games be able to make more use of.

  • I really Like the Eye Tracker, works well on my 34'' curved display with some creative mounting

  • I really Like the Eye Tracker, works well on my 34'' curved display with some creative mounting
  • When you do have everything set up and working as it should, it is a nice product
  • It also works with contact lenses but loses some accuracy in the corners of the screen, probably due to the lens distorting the glints at an angle, I've used other eye trackers and the other non-head-mounted ones also had this problem.

Reviews around doe (2.94 of 5)

  • It won't take your skill level and raise it but does offer some interesting levels of immersion to certain games like Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • Because it does not work in Linux (which SteamOS is based on
  • I do not know how it's able to track my eyes as well as it does
  • its crap, does not work very well, very imprecise, and causes many issues with games when its running and certain features are turned on.its currently unplug always, now i wish i could get the bracket off my monitor but its stuck.also does not work with widows 10 anymore to unlock PC, or sign in.
  • That aside, how well does it work?

Reviews around eye strain (1.29 of 5)

  • I was worried about this product but it works great, and I have not had the eye strain issues that the other guy has had
  • I cannot use the Tobii 4C for longer than a few minutes before I get a terrible headache from the eye strain.
  • just how I found myself using it and it is likely the main cause for my serious eye strain
  • Ultimately the eye strain issue is likely due to the unnatural way you end up looking at things, albeit unconsciously.
  • When you do have everything set up and working as it should, it is a nice product

  • Tried the 4c in Elite Dangerous and no matter what I did, neither the eye, nor the head would track up in the game.
  • lolAnother key reason to have this device is for space trucking in Elite Dangerous
  • I tried a little bit of the gaming (on elite dangerous) and the demo they
  • I've only used this for Elite Dangerous and The Forest, but both have integrated the functionality quite well
  • Quite loving it using it in Elite Dangerous, used a 34" Ultra Wide screen and it works fine with it
