I think it was assembled by a less OCD person than myself, but I bet most people would prefer the wire not be twisted too.

The wire is very long so its easy to plug in and then move around

The wire is also a great colorful addition (black and white) and a good length as opposed to some wires that are too short

The wire is made of nylon and long enough for any desk setup
