I bought one and half year ago, since about month ago wifi connection started dropping signal, I replaced with DD-wrt firmware after I read forum ,but a lot of trouble with wired connection,after spent quite some time to fix it but failed, reverted to stock firmware

I assume that setting the thing up as a wireless extender is very easy as well, but as I said, you will lose a lot of speed

this router cleared up a lot of problems I was having with my old router, great price and fast shipping.

Search on the internet and you'll find that lots of people have this problem.

I have checked forums and lots of people had the same issue and most said they replaced the router with something else, I'm going to do the same today

At first I was skeptical, I am a student living in my mom's basement 😆, but anyway in the basement I use to get horrible internet service, I had to go upstairs to get my homework done, but after this, I can lay comfortably in bed and do my homework, also helps a lot with gaming, experience a lot less lag

Doesn't work properly and customer support is awful, I buy a lot of TP-Link networking stuff and this is by far my worst experience I have ever had makes me want to switch brands I buy.

This router works fine a lot of the time; but it easily gets into a state where it goes catatonic (nothing happening) for 10s of seconds at a time, enough to drop a VPN tunnel

I was on the need of a new router with strong signal, i found a lot of positive feedback on the TpLink signal strength, well... the unit worked fine for 4-5 months and problems started, first the speed will drop from 20mbps to 1mbps randomly, and i mean RANDOM

I bought this to replace my twelve year old cheap-o Cisco router because with four people and about a dozen devices in our home, I hoped a new router would speed things up.

I bought this router back in November 2015 and I t was phenomenal.
