As someone who has always purchased top of line routers, most of the time more expensive than the OnHub, I have quite a bit of experience with router settings as well as router problems.

The problem never happens the same time in succession

When attempting to reconnect, it would refuse to acknowledge correctly entered passwords multiple times in a row

Finding the perfect time to do this is tricky

After hard time figured it out how work, honestly, it works well

But it took me about 5-6 times to connect to PS4 and while Macbook and Mackbook Pros take a long time (10-20seconds) to reconnect when return from blank screen of inactivity

This time it took several minutes during which I suspect the device updated its firmware

Instead of wasting anymore time on TP-Link, I'll happily spend the next few hours researching the new mesh network that will take this unit's place.

Every time I reboot, I lose all WIFI settings and have to reconfigure device

From the previous standar TP-LINK router that we have, that hangs all the time with many computers connected, is a great change, it work in every band realy good

Installation took about ten minutes, with most of that being dead time as it updated it's firmware.

Sometimes it would say great, other times it would say not connected.

At first, setting it up as an access point was a painful time sink.

If I can get online with my laptop why is any of this time wasting needed

I reset it several times, reset my modem, ran tests throughout the house (only 1400 sqft) and it just fails every time

The customer support this time says that I didn't have a picture of the serial number attached to the case, which was NEVER asked for.

Only time will tell how it works over time, I would recommended the On-Hub to anyone who wants a easy to set up wireless router.

However, if you use thicker cables, you may have a hard time fitting the good looking cylinder shell over the body of the router without it hitting the cables, which could cause issues with it fitting properly.

don't waste your time

I had a hard time finding a spot for it as my old ASUS router used to stand up on it's side taking up minimal room but this one had a foot print about 4 times wider
