    • While the installation experience is great, and the ability to set priority devices is very cool, this router ultimately fails in one major way: it frequently does not distribute a signal throughout my house
    • I get a really great wifi signal and faster speeds than my old basic Netgear router

    • We now have a great/fast wifi signal in every room of our house (~2500 square feet).
    • and I get decent signal at the furthest point on the opposite floor
    • The app lets you see what issues are effecting your signal, and we never have dropped shows and have to do the dreaded unplug/plug in, wait, do it again, annoying stuff
    • Example, you may want to have a better signal on your sunporch, basement, etc
    • The router easily covers the two floors above with a strong signal and as yet it has not droppedout.
    • The app is pretty basic, as has been mentioned before in other reviews -- but I don't have excessive needs of my router other than to ensure it has adequate signal, adequate reach, and a sufficient UI.PLUS, this thing is able to setup as a Mesh Network
    • With this router I finally have a strong signal throughout my home!
    • I am even splitting the wifi bill with a girl above me because the signal is so strong.
    • This router gives me a strong signal, lots of configuration options, and a steady 2.4 and 5 GHz network

    • The range from the apartment to the outside improved as well (got a good signal 10 stories down)
    • It also has a stronger signal on the opposite end of the apartment.
    • It does take 15 to 20 minutes for the best signal upon set
    • For the average home-user his is an extraordinarily fast wireless device that will easily stream HD video and Wi-Fi throughout the average size house (always with the caveat that concrete walls and other obstacles will slow the signal.)We have the Verizon Fios 150/150 plan
    • As soon as it was up and running my previously finicky WiFi signal was humming along perfectly
    • I'm getting much stronger signals everywhere
    • Strong WiFi signal everywhere, Easily handles many clients at once (I have over 30 devices connected at any given time), and easy to configure.
    • Apart from the looks, I haven't had connection issues on it, and when connected, I have a strong signal, similar to the AC3150, but slightly better in areas, probably due to the additional antennas.
    • Great signal, even outside, but it's password protected, so, no freeloaders!
    • The signal is strong out on the patio, and throughout a very long yard (except behind a separate, distant cinderblock garage).
    • I would highly recommend this router to anyone that needs solid signal throughout a larger area and through several walls.
    • , 1/2 of my house lost signal
    • The Asus N750's 5Ghz signal was really weak on my second floor and the connection speed was half that of the Onhub
    • They never did turn on any of the smart home radio signals, like Thread.
    • Great signal, works great with U-verse router but port
    • so if your AppleTV and your iPhone don't happen to like the same signal, they will not see each other
    • but my (decidedly unscientific) analysis of the range of this router reveals that I can get a good WiFi signal well outside of my house, down my driveway and in the middle of my street
    • Strong signal
    • Strong signal
    • I can walk quite a ways outside before I loose signal
    • For $200 I could get two basic but ugly 802.11ac routers, turn them into AP mode and hide them beneath things, and it would give a more consistent signal distribution.
    • Although the network speed is just the same on both when in good signal, the AC5400 does a much better job at going through walls.
    • Even though my Wifi can reach my bedroom now, I still have my old Archer C7 setup as an access point so that I can use SteamLink or Moonlight from my bedroom with a strong 5Ghz signal
    • Amazing range with a very strong signal throughout the household
    • You pretty much have to be right next to the other routers for them to have a stronger signal
    • Not only that, I can get decent signal at the end of the driveway
    • I get a good, reliable signal in every corner of every room in my house
    • I get a strong signal in the far reaches of my two story house.
    • I force my 5GHz devices to connect to 5GHz, and since none of my neighbors are using 5GHz, I actually get much better throughput even with the weaker signal (through walls) on the 5GHz
    • Great signal strength, but it's not quite there yet for pure poured concrete walls.
    • I used this router to replace an ATT uverse router due to the fact that the router's signal was not accessible throughout the house causing me to overuse phone data.
    • It was a great connection, unfortunately it would not get great signal on my brother's PS4 console from inside my house.
    • I like the easy setup and powerful WiFi signal
    • We have seen no lag times, and we have a strong signal all across or two-story home with a concrete second floor
    • This router has no issue sending signal to the basement where the xbox is.
    • The signal is now super strong all over the house, very fast and very very consistent
    • Now I am getting signal in my room and getting outstanding signal in my living room
    • My Asus would still do about 24MB/s, but the internet would practically die when the transfers were going on.3
    • It has an old tech look about it and is pretty big compared to the aforementioned cheaper router`s, but if you have burn money, then I would recommend this router.
    • The bad - I've been wanting to assign static IP's to a couple of devices that are hardwired via a switch I have connected, but when looking at the network and trying to find which Mac address is assigned to what device, the current UI refreshes the list every time you look at a device then go back
    • I don't see why ppl will want this C5400 if it doesn't have more features than the competition or equal too in options, the firmware does have its limitations also for the class this router is in also, many other routers in this class have alot more features (bandwidth speed, deep packet inspection, faster USB transfer speed on router ports, 3G/4G USB Dongle and Cloud Managing, just to name a few)
    • Because of the forced shared SSID on both bands, I have connectivity issues on the limits of the range of the 5G band where my devices refuse to switch to 2.4G band
    • (Let's say 50 feet from the router) the signal strength (Even 2G) become pretty weak but is still able to support a wireless connection at about 30Mpbs which is certainly fast enough for most.
    • Even the 2.4G was faster than 5G with MIMO
    • I highly recommend this router if you want very good range and a consistent 5G connection
    • Great 2.4G wireless speed compared to my other name brand AC router
    • The N was pretty snappy at 100Mbps in the kitchen
    • no more need to screw in the antennas and I love it.-The router is also fairly light and not as massive as my Asus, so i love this as
    • I wanted something that was going to give me a little more directional boost in wifi throughout my house as well as give me better security than many of the basic routers out there
    • Not as fast as I'd
    • and you will have a new appreciation for how broken an
    • I went from a single band to this triple band as well as from a 10Mbit to 100Mbit service
    • Good wifie connection is on all 3 inside levels of my house as well as in my back yard and front yard
    • I now have service on the third floor as well as in the garage on the first floor all with this single router
    • As typical with devices like these, I upgrade the firmware to make sure I have the latest features, it is running as good as it can, etc
