For example, if you're on one of the 5GHz bands, and go out of range, the device was not automatically switched to the 2.4GHz band which has a slower speed, but longer range

I live in NYC, and I was annoyed at TWC (now Spectrum), and I had my speed tested, and the guy who did my testing blamed my speeds on the old router I was using (it was literally 10 years old, but it never dropped a signal).
