The connection was always solid and ping times were great, but not even close to gigabit

Next time, I will just work on running a line, or doing wifi repeating with top of the line gear, since this powerline is garbage for speeds

It sounds nice to replace a long cable with this "wireless" device, but it's so unreliable that you'll eventually pull it out, so don't waste your time on this junk.
