    TP-Link N300 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router - WiFi Bridge/Range Extender/Access Point/Client Modes, Mobile in Pocket(TL-WR802N)

    • I recently stayed at a Marriott motel and used it to connect to it's free WiFi.
    • But for some reason the WiFi loves to drop out and the router freezes a lot even though I use the provided power adapter
    • great wifi for hotel rooms, much better that standard hotel coveragereally small and light
    • Great short range router for securing open wifi to use with personal devices
    • Perfect WIFI router for travel in hotels where WIFI is limited to one device.
    • Had a dead WiFi spot in the office, but had an ethernet connection.
    • The usual limits are the poor Campground WiFi speeds, but when connected to a excellent wifi it works great
    • Now I have a strong wifi connection I can use
    • I have used a couple other Network Extenders and this one by far is the easiest to set up and give a great WiFi experience.
    • That problem is that if we are logging into a wifi that requires a authentication each time you go back on it (like at a hotel where they want you to add your room number or last name to verify your using the free wifi) then the TP-Link doesn’t seem to want to allow for it to connect again without resetting all of the settings already put into the computer when initially used.
    • I wanted to replace the spotty hotel WiFi with something better
    • I have not tested this outside this use, but I am very pleased with how well it works as a wifi to ethernet adapter.
    • My husband had recently bought this for traveling and me and my husband tried to use it at my dads and we plugged it in and the green light blinks and the wifi doesn't really work well
    • I was looking for something to boost the free WIFI in my work area and this was able to take the one spot where there was an actual signal and then repeat it out to the rest of the work area
    • i cant get this to work, i plugged this in my labtop and went to tplinkwifi.netthe website says it cant be reached, idk y but idk how this thing even works if u cant set it up to work as wifi for ur labtop.
    • Perfect WIFI router for travel in hotels where WIFI is limited to one device.
    • I actually followed the directions closely for setting it up (uses browser vs app - thank goodness) and in my RV at a campground I now have blazing speeds using the typical flacid wifi available
    • Moreover, when the hotel I'm staying in has poor Wifi and I need to fall back on my Verizon connection on my phone, I can connect this device to my phone's hotspot and my notebook, tablet, and Chromecast still work perfectly by connecting to this device as if nothing was different
    • But since the room I was using it in had weak wifi, I opted for a Netgear wifi enhancer.
    • Their free WiFi is open (no password), protected only by a window that asks you to agree to their terms of service.
    • But for some reason the WiFi loves to drop out and the router freezes a lot even though I use the provided power adapter
    • I spend quite a bit of time in hotels and this helps both in boosting mediocre wifi and allowing me to hook up my Chromecast
    • I wanted to see if I could setup a portable wifi network to take one the road and share stuff with customers
    • All I had to do was log into the device and follow the directions to connect it to the free WIFI
    • But the big thing here is being able to create a secure local WiFi in an unsecured WiFi environment.
    • We use this on our sailboat connected to a powerful wifi antenna.
    • Using this device during power outages, with it being powered by a Li_On USB powerbank, is my emergency wifi network to connect my wifi camera to my router so to keep my live feed from my wifi camera up and running during the power outage
    • So far only used the wireless wifi connection which stabilizes spotty hotel connections.
    • Also, it seems to do a better job staying connected to a flaky wifi connection from the hotel, as opposed to my iPhone directly.
    • I bridge it with whatever WiFi is currently available and boom
    • Probably something weird with the available wifi
    • wifi is spotty in one room of the house, however we get a good signal from the neighbors xfinity wifi hotspot, however I couldn't use my chromecast with it, this provided a usable workaround to get my chromecast working
    • I spend quite a bit of time in hotels and this helps both in boosting mediocre wifi and allowing me to hook up my Chromecast
