That day I went out and got a new VPN router capable of running DD-WRT

Simply login on VPN withthe appropriate VPN port opened and thats all

Other than these problems, the VPN works flawlessly and I run a huge amount of traffic through this device w/no apparent slowdowns

There are other issues that can be overlooked in this otherwise fast and inexpensive VPN NAT router for home use.

I had hoped to get a good VPN router but this one is a total waste of time.
