    • I also like that the antennas are removable for better placement and you can disable DHCP server.
    • Easier setup than I thought, comes with DHCP disable and is set to a static ip of 192.168.0.254.
    • :Now punch into your browser the AP's current DHCP static IP address, it should bring you into the TP-Link config page
    • I disabled DHCP on the TP-Link, leaving all of my customized settings and DHCP allocation in the router
    • Without going into great detail, I have tried about 5 methods to get this to work, including enabling/disabling DHCP, using a static IP or getting IP from DHCP, setting AP to same SSID/Config, latest firmware, hard resets, nothing works.
    • The DHCP function on this WAP does not work as it should, at least IMO.
    • Also, it has the ability to provide DHCP addressing which might interfere with your router or DHCP server if turned on or configured incorrectly
    • Tried the smart dhcp and static selected ip and no difference
    • From the Tp-Link's main config page, Disable DHCP by clicking on DHCP on the left of the config screen and select Disable.~~Change TP-Link AP admin
    • I plugged it into the PoE thing and turned it on and was able to easily connect to it and configure it to be an access point with disabled DHCP
    • In case anyone's having the same problems, here's a few key settings that I used that finally got it work with a STABLE connection: 1)use a static IP for this router in the network settings, 2)disable the DHCP in this router
