I had a dead spot in my house that a WiFi extender would not work and I tried several.

My guess is that the AP and the wireless router used the same radio/antenna combination because even though the AP was placed in a better spot due to it using POE the coverage wasn't great, I had signal strength issues and signal quality issues every where
