So I ended up buying Drive Genius, which cleaned up my old drive and then the same software cloned the drive.

My 2011 MBA drive stopped working, found this drive at Amazon, so for $189 the storage capacity went from 120 GB to 240 GB not bad

Awesome drive

The size was fine for small photo jobs but there are times when it's helpful to keep the pictures just a little longer than a small hard drive allows

Now I can edit videos in speed without having to plug in slow USB drives.
