The ethernet connection wizard on my TV pings the network just fine, and the wizard progresses all the way though completion, but thereafter the degraded signal renders that functionality useless

A nice feature, and one they should have applied to the phone and ethernet jacks as well as they are harder to clean

I do like the idea of protecting the TV through the cable, which a lot of people forget, that you can kill a TV through the cable TV connection as well as through the power cord.

Worked as it should.
