When worn in a noisy environment (e.g., traffic, subway) they lose the bass and become shrill/unpleasant

They still leaked in a lot of noise and lost the bass.- My mic button or connector was overly sensitive, whereby the music stopped randomly and repeatedly when connected to an Apple device

They tend to spray the bass all over and color or dominate the music

they have settled into a really nice sound profile with solid and seep bass with crisp highs

Despite the advantage of being wood, I much prefer the bass within the TRN V80
