I had several glass containers with lids that had cracked over the years
-
As long as the rim of the thing you're covering is dry, these make a waterproof seal (as my husband tested by trying to dump a glass of water over my head.
-
I tried glass, plastic, ceramic - the lids did not seal ever and shrunk off almost as soon as I'd wrestled them on.
-
I have more glass containers that lids are broken
-
This has eliminated my dilemma of having a couple of missing glass lids for my Corningware casseroles of different sizes and Pyrex, not to mention coffee cups, glasses, bowls etc
-
I don’t want to throw out the expensive glass container so these lids are the perfect answer.
-
Can use for certain things but disappointing as not very reliable
-
Doesn’t stretch so that doesn’t make it versatile as
-
I use it for heating food in the microwave, in the oven, as well as for storing food in the refrigerator
