The piece is still cheap plastic, but Great customer service!

The table/desk clamp seems sturdy enough (I haven't had any issues?) molded from a hardened plastic and the clamp adjustment is secure.

The plastic broke

I was very upset!I recommend ordering a gooseneck tablet mount made of something a bit sturdier than this flimsy plastic

It is not firm and the plastic is not as strong as it should be when holding the phone it flops all around the place the slitice touch sends its wiggling all over the place

The only slight complaint is that the plastic mounting section seems to have been made from cheap plastic, so you would have to be careful with that part.

The fasteners are all made from cheap plastic

The best thing is it leaves you with plenty of room to work as it stands alone and do not need to worry about spilling food or drinks on your phone because you forgot to move your device out of the way

but I think this is actually a positive as it's very sturdy

It supports the weight of the iPad but just make sure you do an S curve with the neck like they recommend in the manual
