The fit of the armband is fine for me and it stays put.

The armband is a bit big, but it came with a styrofoam insert, so I just sliced that in half and use my phone in front of the styrofoam - PERFECT fit!

I have wasted my money on several others but this one fits the phone nicely, is easy to insert and remove the phone, and the armband is nice and wide and stays put.

You can definitely get the headphones plugged in and everything still stays secure, it would just provide for a better fit if there was an access hole rather than having to fold back the top lip to plug in headphones.

But because of the loose fit, the front plastic is a bit loose - but I was still able to access all functions without any trouble.

Its hard to find a decent armband these days and this one fits the galaxys3 with an Otterbox case and still some room left but not enough to cause any movement inside
