Changed batteries and still not working.

When I took it out of my instrument case to use it the second time (a few days later), the battery was dead.

and/or the off button can get pressed accidentally, as the battery was dead by the same afternoon as I opened it

Likewise on the low E on the guitar - my other guitar tuners have problems hearing the low E, usually requiring me to tune to the harmonic
