Range works well enough for me at 10-15' form by XB1X and definitely beats having to have a headset wired into the controller

The mic works really well and probably my favorite thing is when the wife or kid come in I can simply raise it up to mute my chat and when I'm done put it back down to instantly rejoin chat, simple feature but really gonna be one I use a lot
