I also tested the mic on my PC and again very sensitive to any sounds, needs something to get rid of the background noise

The thing I'm missing most are gain controls because it picks up a lot of background noise

The none-boosted modes designed for close-in work won't really pick you up unless you're just a few inches from the mic itself, and even its most limited, focused mode (with high gain) it will still pick up a lot of background noise if you leave it sitting on your desk

Finally you can turn on an Automatic Noise Gate that only transmits when loud enough sound is heard which gets rid of a lot of the background noise

A tried it with a vacuum on in the other room and found no great reduction in background noise regardless of setting

The Turtle Beach has TruSpeak built into it which means that it easily picks up your voice without picking up on background noise like typing on the keyboard or mouse clicks.

There is still background noise present, which will always be the case in noisy environments like the apartment complex I call home, but it is much less distracting and invasive than it would be on lower grade, high sensitivity mics
