The led light uses almost no power when the vehicle is off and does not drain the battery from what i've noticed

no matter what he did the screen stayed black and it so far has been a very expensive dome light

lights on the player are not very bright at all, and are the cylindrical type of light bulbs.

It's a clear light, and I think they are bright enough
