Reviews around work (4.72 of 5)

  • These air locks work really well for fermentation buckets, gallon jugs or carboys for beer and/or wine
  • Quality air locks are extremely important and these work great!
  • The other one works great, but they are definitely fragile.
  • " I can hear these easily, which let's me know how hard the mix is working and when its getting close to done.
  • These plastic airlocks work great in the standard sized carboy

Reviews around air lock (4.66 of 5)

  • Air locks are good but the bung or stopper falls apart
  • These air locks work really well for fermentation buckets, gallon jugs or carboys for beer and/or wine
  • the air locks are fine but the bung isnt even close to fitting my 6 gallon carboy mine is plastic but never the less it says fits all secondary fermenters
  • The air locks are fine, but the bungs are too wide at the bottom to fit in a standard 1 gal carboy or the 1/2 gal cider jars from the store.
  • But, I’m using the air locks with #6 drilled stoppers and they work fine.

Reviews around seal (4.45 of 5)

  • Because of its rigidity, it is very hard to get a secure seal.
  • Only gripe I have is you should trim the plastic flashing at the seam on the lower end to make a better seal in the bung
  • They are not rubber, but some kind of plastic that doesn't make a good seal, and actually pushes itself up out of the neck of the carboy
  • but, that plastic flex a bit do make sure you have a good seal.
  • Bugs won't stay sealed, so they're useless to me

Reviews around airlock (4.26 of 5)

  • Plus the airlocks are extremely thin plastic, and probably will crack and split within a few uses.
  • The reason I purchased this airlock as opposed to another I was considering is because I thought the carboy bung would be best for my use
  • The airlocks seem fine but the stoppers do not fit a normal gallon jug.
  • You really can't go wrong with these, my favorite airlock
  • The airlocks themselves seem to work just fine and don't have any leaks.

Reviews around plastic (1.98 of 5)

  • The bungs are a hard plastic and not rubber, so they really don't flex or fit in anything.
  • Made of hard plastic, not rubber has no flex ability to be used as a stopper.
  • The product came with inexpensive hard plastic corks that are not very flexible and easily slip out of the bung
  • Broke one just getting it in the bung, made of cheap plastic, bung is large
